Sometimes I think that I would rather live in a world of fantasy than reality. Sometimes living your life vicariously through someone else is the fucking way to go.
I often find myself in a happy alter-reality when I smell, hear or see something. I swear I'm not crazy... I'm just... special... Haha... My mom told me that special people make the world go round and who am I to question that??
Exactly.
So I've decided to try to figure out a way to live in this dream state at all times. You could become a write who lives in their head... Or you could be a movie buff who watched movies 24-7... Or you could listen to music through those little-huge fucking headphones, that never fit in my ears, all day long.
Right now you would think that I would have a solution to this problem but because I'm such a great writer I'm keeping you on your feet and leave you with a question: What do you think about supernovas?
Haha... I just laughed Revenge of the Nerds style and I'm proud of it. And, also, I'm imagining that I'm in that movie as that cute black gay guy with the scarves and on the sound track singing nerd-o-licious songs and I also wrote the god damn script for it. So I guess in my own way I have solved my riddle. All you have to do it write, star in and sing a hit single from a cult-nerd-favorite and you will feel more fulfilled than when you ate that whole chocolate mouse pie and said that your roommate ate it.
And do you know whats even better than chocolate mouse pie?? Boston cream pie.
Hells yeah.
Pie lovin' nerd lover,
Erica

Revenge of the Nerds was the shit....well, except for the gay guy.
Damn....now you got me trying to picture exactly what that skinny bastard looked like!
I like to take my Boston Creme Pie apart and lick the middle out of it.
Supernova's are cool.
You...
are a Supernovella.
:)
Slick: I know!! I tried to find a picture of him for this post but couldn't find one... I guess the other picture will have to serve in his memory.
Natalie: I've never been called a Supernovella... It sound quite sexy, like I'm a god in bed. Haha...
I like to dress myself up as a cream pie and run around on playgrounds late at night
Travis: Do you get to wear your cape while doing this??
Is that a photo of Gregg O'Connell?
Matt: Haha... That was funny... Haha... I think his ego will be bruised forever if he reads this.
It seems to me that most people - myself included - spend a great deal of time in a fantasy world, which they mistakenly think of as their actual lives. The question, then, is not "how do I start living in a fantasy world?", but "how do I switch from my current fantasy world to a more appealing fantasy world?".
I would say that Travis has the right idea by "dressing his self up as a cream pie and running around on playgrounds late at night", except that this sort of behavior, I've found through personal experience, will often cause your fantasy world to suddenly include prison guards, courtrooms, and lots and lots of boring paperwork.
So maybe Ninja Turtles really is the way to go.
Captain Smack: It seems as though you have thought long and hard about this and have acted on your dreams. I'm grateful for your experiences of living the fantasy world and would love to know more, even if it does mean you've had to experience not
dropping the soap in the prison showers. Maybe you can teach Travis and I... Sometimes your all-knowingness makes it hard to look at your icon straight on.
I like your way of thinking! I shall be Richie Cunningham and eat lots of Key Lime Pie!
Wow, I feel great now!!!!!
i always felt close to Booger
Ah, yes... the wonderful world of escapism. *sigh* Why can't my dream of being a careless Spicolli playout into the real world?
Revenge of the Nerds is the best movie. EVER!
Michael C: Key lime pie is great and healthy because it's got fruit in it. :)
Gregg: Do you feel closer to Booger because you have so many in your nose??
Eric: Maybe someday your dream will come true and then you can say your life it fulfilled. Dreams really do come true...
Dave Evans: No shit!!! It IS the best movie!!
So... what's wrong with spending so much time in a fantasy world and alternate reality? Are you saying I'm crazy? No? Then why not?
So would you be a Tri-Lam or Omega-Mu?
QofD: Just calm down... Here - drink this. It will make you feel nice and relaxed. Ok now. I never said you were crazy or that you weren't crazy. I said I simply want to live in a fantasy world because it's more fun. Actually... Give me that fucking little paper cup...
Malathionman: Man - I don't remember that movie in such great detail... Sorry to let you down. Which one should I choose??
I think that Lemon Meringue pie is better. But that's just me. :)
xo
I wanna live in a non-reality reality!
Except, I kinda like my reality right now. :)
oh my god, I bought a boston creme pie last week & that thing didn't last 2 days...between 2 of us. But it's light, right? Easy on the hips, good on the lips?
Okay so you are a geek? nerd? Well, Hi, I'm a total idiot, cuz I've got no idea what a supernova is, cept I think it's some space thing. Okay, color me stupit.
Love that movie.lol
Boob Lady: Lemon Meringue pie is damn good but I think I ate it so much when I was little that now I'm kinda sick of it... But I can mail you one if you want??
Blondie: It's a fun world this non-reality place!! But that's pretty cool if you are happy in reality too. :)
Jane: I'm a dork... Not a geek. Geeks know about supernovas and shit... But really I don't know what it is. True it has something to do with space but I'm not sure what. Haha... And I read somewhere that eating a Boston Cream Pie is equal to eating only fruits and veggies all day... So no worries!!
Sam: Hells yeah. That movie indeed rocked.
Omega-Mus were the Nerd chicks and Tri-Lams were the Nerd dudes. You could be a Pi-Delta-Pi and be in the cheerleader sorority. I Lewis fell in love with a Pi-Delta-Pi.
That's "I think Lewis fell in love with a Pi-Delta-Pi."
When I was in college I knew this guy who used to walk by my dorm and yell "THERE'S LAMBDA LAMBDA LAMBDA. ALL THE NERDS LIVE THERE" At first I thought it was funny until I realized he was talking about me. Now I think it was funny again.
I prefer to live in fantasy world. Cause reality world sucks. Okay, MY reality world sucks.
Please! I'd love one!!
WHere iz u?
Malathionman: It all makes sense now. Thanks for the explanation. I would love to be a Pi-Delta-Pi. I was never popular or coordinated enough to be a cheerleader in real life so internet cheerleading sounds awesome!!
Jay: Haha... That's funny. But if you think about it too long it might not be funny anymore. The hurt might come back and then you might put him on your list. You know the list. The "I'll show you" list. Haha...
Boob Lady: Done and done. :)
Slick: You miss me already?? Sorry- I only post once a week because I'm super busy and don't want blogger burnout. It's a hard disease to cure...
That photo looks distubingly like my high school Algebra teacher. Except that he wore lime green. Oh, the memories. ;-)
Malice: Really?? I bet he was everyones favorite teacher, huh? And I heard lime green is the new black and white of this season so really he was ahead of his time...
Erica, I want you to come with me to the land of little paper cups. The small pills make you bigger and the large ones make you small and the other ones.... don't do anything at all... oh shit. You know what I mean.
QodD: You know what I love. Miniature things. So little paper cups are right down my ally. And if things get tiny when I drink it, even better!
Supernovas are overrated. Now black holes on the other hand... very cool.
Diesel: Black holes ARE cool!! I want a black hole for my birthday! :)
that's the guy who cuts the grass across the street in nothing but shorts! Stop this!
If you star in your own cult nerd hit, I'd watch it.
Revenge of the Nerds is definitely the litmus test though for cult nerd movie coolness.
Dan: So you are telling me your neighbor is living in a fantasy world? Maybe I should start cutting the lawn without my shirt on... :)
James: I feel so honored that you would watch me nerdiness on the big screen. I think you have just given me the confidence to follow through with this dream. :)
Nerds are where it's at. I married an engi-nerd. And Boston cream pie rules. Yum!
Velvet: Boston cream pies do rule!! I sure do talk about food a lot, huh? Haha...
