God damn real life

I know it's crazy, but I'm actually human and have problems and feelings outside of this blog. So with that said - I'm skipping a week because my dog got attacked by a dog 10 times his size and is in the hospital. And although writing in this thing isn't top priority, it also isn't the last thing on my mind. The last thing on my mind would be something like... Thinking about how scared I would be if I had to get on a shuttle and go into outer space, because we all know I'm no astronaut and I don't plan on doing that. But if I did?? Now, that would be fucking scary - It would probably would be one of the first things on my mind actually.

So send some good thoughts to him and be thankful for a week off from me. Even I need a vacation from myself. :)

Later,
EAP

Love and light to your little pooch. Now that I own a small dog, I know that fear and as a result, never take him to the dog park. What an awful and scary thing to have happen to your family member. I hope your little guy gets well and is back in step soon.
Take care of yourself. That's a really stressful situation.
Love and light to you, too.

I haven't been posting as much as I'd like to either. You see, I've been busy dressing up like a big dog and going out and attacking little dogs ... oops. Sorry about that. I'll be sure to send some flowers and a fruit basket.

Erica I am sorry to hear about your dog.

I too fear outer space. Not for the journey up there, but the weird alernans that would take me into their vessels and probe me.

Betty said...

Good luck to your little doggie. I know you're worried.

I hope your dog gets better fast. Poor wittle pupp-eee.

I think outer space would suck. What if the space craft was attacked and taken over by Aliens? And what if those anal probes they always use in Sci-Fi movies are real????

Natalie: Thanks so much. It was like a nightmare and I keep replaying it over in my head. I think he's on the road to recovery but things are still iffy.

Boob Lady: Thank you so much... He really is my baby.

Wormbrain: Thank you.

Morbid Misanthrope: I hope you would send a basket and some flowers if you are the lab/german shepard that did this... I thought he looked bigger than normal dog size. :)

Travis: Thank you. And for some reason I think that maybe you would like outer space just for that reason. No?

Betty: Thank you... Worried is an understatement. I don't have kids so he is basically it. :)

Jay: Thanks. And I heard that outer space actually has all peaceful aliens and they tell our TV executives to make movies that make them look scary so that we don't overpopulate the universe too... It's like they are using a method of population control.

10 times, huh? Are you sure yours is a dog and not, like, a squirrel?

I'll be taking some time off soon myself. See you in a couple weeks.

Best of luck to your dog Erica!

I really hope your pup is okay! I don't have 'custody' of my dog anymore, but I would be absolutely inconsolable if something happened to him. :)

Awww Erica. That sucks sugar butt. Here's to hoping the pooch recovers soon and you are back to entertain us with your incredible wit and charm.

Diesel: It seemed like he was 10 times bigger. He swung my pup around like a fucking rag doll. So yeah... I my head he was about 200 lbs. :)

Michael C: Thanks... I think he's on the mend. :)

Slick: Thank you moocho much.

Heather: I hear you... Once you live with a pup they are near and dear to your heart. It was easily one of the worst things I've ever seen. Thanks for the good wishes. :)

Gregg: You fucking rock.

Diva: Thanks so much!!

QofD: Thanks... But did you notice how I tried to be a little bit funny? Don't worry... I'll be back soon enough, drunk and witty as ever. :)

I'm sorry about your dog, Erica, and hope that he comes back good as new. I'm sure he will be licking your face with his smelly little tongue in no time.

Now then. Down to business. I don't know if you're the vengeful type, but if you were to give me the address of the attacking dog, I could have him "taken for a walk", if you know what I mean.

I know people.

Erica AP said...

Captain Smack: I'm glad to hear you've got my back. This is one crazy lady we are dealing with and some outside help might be just what we need. :)

Oh no!!!!!

I'm so sad to hear about your doggy. I love my dog so so so much and she brings such joy to my life. I can totally relate to how you must be feeling. My thoughts are with you and I hope your baby feels better soon.

Hope your dog gets better. You should honestly take legal action.

Erica AP said...

Carmen: Thank you so much. It was so scary and my puppy does mean the world to me...

Kyle: Thanks. I think I'm going to have to take legal action because it doesn't sound like she is going to pay...

James Burnett said...

Well wishes to your dog, death wishes to the owner of the dog who attacked yours, and may your vet bill be waaaaaay less than the $1K our cat cost us three weeks ago for a 1.5 day/night stay in the animal hospital.

Erica AP said...

James: Thanks... Unfortunately the bill is around $5000. And that lady doesn't sound like she is going to pay. I hope you kitty is ok...

Matt said...

Erica, that's so funny because once I had the same thought.

As a boy, I was always psyched about outer space but given that I currently need a few stiff drinks to settle onto a commercial aircraft, I don't think I'd do to well on the shuttle.

Roger, roger.

Erica AP said...

Matt: It's almost like we are linked through the minds or something. Like ESPN or SPN or whatever the initials are for mental telepathy are... Roger out.

Queen of Dysfunction said...

Hey Erica, just wondering how you are doing. I hope your dog gets better soon.

Erica AP said...

QofD: Thanks for asking... I'm ok. My dog is doing much better, but the lady is still not paying so I have to take legal action, unfortunately. Damn, white trash.

Dan said...

Erica, I'm so sorry to hear about this. I'm glad that he is doing OK! Thank goodness for that. Hugs!

Erica AP said...

Dan: Thanks so much! I hope your girl is better too. :)

Queen of Dysfunction said...

Ugh, you are kidding! Want me to come down there and beat her like a rug?

Hey! Actually I am coming down to San Diego in September! Aren't you happy? Can I play with your dog on the beach?

Erica AP said...

QofD: Really??? When you are here we should seriously get a beer!! Unless you think I'm too weird or gay... No - that would be Gregg.

Queen of Dysfunction said...

Hell yeah! It looks like my crew (that's what I like to call my bitches) and I will be renting a condo on the beach or staying on Coronado island from September 27th through the 30th.

If we do the condo thing we're going to barbecue. You'll have to join us!

I'm so relieved to read that your dog is doing better. Take that bitch to Judge Judy, she'll set her straight!

velvet girl said...

OMG your poor pup! I hope that he's on the mend. Hang in there, 'kay? We're all pulling for you and your pooch.

Erica AP said...

QofD: I love BBQ's!!! And beer!!! And Vodka!!!! And the beach!!!! Haha... I get excited very easily.

Jane: I know! Judge Judy is a tough one... If small claims doesn't take care of it I'm calling JJ!!

Velvet: Thank so much... He's healing really well and I'm so relieved. He's a strong little pup... :)

Tammie Jean said...

Oh no!!! The same thing happened to my little dog in January - the neighbor's dog attacked him and almost killed him. I hope your little guy is okay!!!

By the way, our neighbor paid Scruffy's hospital bill. Threaten the owner with filing a police report. If a report is filed the police will come to the home and examine the dog - if it's determined that the dog is a threat they can put him down (at least in my area). Not that anybody wants that, but the thought of it made our neighbors pay up.

Well, that plus the sight of Scruffy with drainage tubes sticking out of his neck all over the place - it was really bad.

I hope your pup is getting better!

Tammie Jean said...

Oh... I just read back a bit that you will probably have to take legal action. Good luck!

Erica AP said...

Tammie: Thanks... It was really scary, and the lady doesn't think he need surgery. She wants to pay but not for all of it. So needless to say, I'm pissed. I said he had a near death experience and she said, "No - he didn't" ugh... I think that a big dog grabbing a little dog by the stomach and swing him around like rag doll constitutes he having a near death experience. Oh well. I'm glad your pup is ok. :)
